Who We Are
The Friends of Wappapello Lake is a 501(c)3 tax deductible corporation serving Butler, Stoddard, and Wayne Counties in Southeast Missouri.
The Friends of Wappapello Lake typically meets each month (except August) on the second Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wappapello Lake Visitor Center. The public is encouraged to attend meetings and to become involved in the activities of the Association. Additional information on meetings can be found on our Facebook page.
Our Mission
The mission of the Friends of Wappapello Lake is to provide support to the Corps of Engineers and businesses and organizations in the Wappapello Lake area, helping to provide safe and healthy recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages and abilities, while promoting economic growth in the tri-county area.
A Message From Our President
Our organization has exciting plans for the future, but we can only succeed with support from volunteers, businesses and organizations. Please come and be a part of WLAA, where together we can enhance and improve what the local area has to offer, attracting visitors to the events that entertain, educate and bring benefits to our local economy.
